Assassin's Creed Unveils Bizarre AoT Collaboration for Holiday Season
In a bizarre collaboration that breaks usual forecasts, the game developer has revealed an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing free additional story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Questline Disclosed
According to the authorized release, "An unusual meeting pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where hints of prohibited practices and monstrous metamorphoses reverberate through the shadows." The plot features a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a secret cult.
The mission focuses on "bizarre experiments and a terrifying adversary" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Familiar Locations and Transformations
The preview features the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview ends with a powerful sequence showing a character, probably the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who accomplish the adventure will obtain an special katana together with several objects hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
