We start with queries from Tory Member of Parliament the panel's head, who leads the group.

She commences by providing context to the leaked memo written by Michael Prescott and published in a national newspaper.

"I don't want the British Broadcasting Corporation slanting in any particular direction, My only wish is for it neutral, impartial and fair," he declares.

When asked if he considers the BBC is systematically partial, the adviser responds: "No, I do not. It is important to note, numerous aspects the BBC does is exceptional - including documentary and non-factual programming."

However, he continues: "There is substantial tasks that must be undertaken at the British Broadcasting Corporation."

The second previous consultant BBC specialist questioned by the panel, Caroline Daniel, states she regards the British Broadcasting Corporation with great importance and that it maintains a "persistent practice and vigorous discourse" regarding evolving and intricate topics.

"Whether the BBC was ready to engage in a thorough discussion and debate and act accordingly?" she asks herself. "As I see it, indeed, they were."
