Los Angeles Explodes in Celebration as Los Angeles Dodgers Secure Second World Series Victory
The City of Angels witnessed citywide festivities after the Dodgers clinched a nail-biting seven-game World Series title. Fans worldwide united with Angelenos in jubilation, marking the first time in 25 years that a franchise has achieved back-to-back championships.
Celebration Parade Attracts Massive Crowds
Los Angeles area celebrations featured a procession through the city center on the morning of the parade, a ticketed rally at Dodger Stadium, and spontaneous parties throughout the city.
Online footage depict thousands of Angelenos packing downtown streets, many carrying homemade signs and team flags. The team was seen riding high on a double-decker bus through the crowds, hoisting the Commissioner’s trophy proudly.
“My focus is already about the next championship we’re going to do this,” the star player stated through an translator.
The procession path concluded at Dodger Stadium, where the team walked out to Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” with the renowned DJ providing music and the artist driving a light blue vintage Cadillac around the stadium’s outfield.

In contrast, the team owner received a less warm welcome at the celebration. Video footage from the event appear to show Walter walking onstage to a mix of applause and boos, with negative shouts interrupting his address.
The championship served as a bright spot in what has been a trying year for the city. An estimated 225,000 people showed up to the Dodgers’ victory parade last year, and according to team member one athlete, fans this year showed equal or greater enthusiasm.
“I feel like it’s almost double from last year,” Freeman said. “The supporters are incredible. It’s truly amazing to be a part of this.”
