The President Calls Relatives of Injured Guard Personnel to White House

President Donald Trump revealed on Sunday that he has asked the relatives of a National Guard member fatally shot last week to attend the White House.

He added that he spoke to her parents and they were “devastated”.

Information on the Tragic Event

Soldier Beckstrom, twenty years old, was killed in a shooting on last Wednesday in the nation's capital.

Her colleague, US air force staff Sgt Andrew Wolfe, 24, continues receiving treatment in grave state.

Memorials across the state have been held in their honor.

White House Offer

The commander-in-chief stated he’s proposed a meeting at the presidential residence for the parents of both members of the West Virginia Guard.

“I stated: ‘When you’re prepared, because that’s a hard experience, visit the White House. We’re going to honor Sarah,” Trump told the press. “And similarly with him, whether he recovers or not.”

Public Support

Mourners assembled over the weekend at a local school in West Virginia to honor Sarah.

Both she and Wolfe had been fulfilling duties with the military unit as part of the president’s national effort to assist policing efforts in DC.

Remembering Sarah Beckstrom

“Sarah was the individual that instructors wished for. She conducted herself with quiet strength, a bright grin and a optimistic attitude that lifted those around her,” the principal, the principal of her previous school, told the press. “She was caring, compassionate and always eager to support those in need.”

Funeral plans for Sarah are in the process of planning.

Judicial Steps and Policy Revisions

Law enforcement have indicted a 29-year-old Afghan national with a charge of murder and charges of assault with intent to kill while carrying a weapon.

The incident caused the administration to pause refugee claims and halt providing visas to possessors of travel documents.

Condition of Andrew Wolfe

Wolfe, a resident of the city, began his service in early 2019 and is a 2019 graduate of Musselman High, per the Associated Press.

He is still undergoing care and is “fighting for his life”, the state’s governor the governor stated on Fox News Channel’s The Sunday Briefing.

Attorney general Bondi stated on Fox News Sunday that she planned to meet with the family.

Legacy of Beckstrom

Sarah, from her hometown, completed her education from Webster County high school in 2023 and enlisted soon after, serving as a military police officer with excellence, according to the military.

“She had a lot of kindness and she definitely had bravery,” he told the crowd at the memorial. “Though her life lasted far too short, she has made an impact that’s going to endure.”
